We had a VERY early morning to make up for the flights we missed the previous afternoon. Sunrise, however, was gorgeous. Seeing the delta from this new perspective helped everythingfall into place. We were in a tiny four-seater (including the pilot and me in the co-pilot’s chair). Everything about the flight was spectacular. Journeys of [...]

After a lunch break in Nata (halfway between Kasane and Maun) and several more hoof and mouth inspections, we arrived in Maun to the Sedia Hotel, where we’d camp one night in preparation for our delta trip. The Sedia Hotel looked rather nice, with a restaurant, bar, reception are, and very decent pool. We’d decided [...]

We are leaving for a 21-day trek overland through Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and back to Cape Town. We ran around yesterday getting last minute supplies (sleeping bag and roll mat, cutlery, plate and mug, etc.) We had pretty much everything else we need. We also had to pass by the local Amex office to purchse [...]
